Rural Mobile Medical Missions

Our Rural Mobile Medical Missions aim to provide free medical care and surgeries to people in rural areas. The teams of volunteer doctors who collaborate with us include general practitioners, gynecologists, pediatricians, surgeons and nurses, supported by translators, administrative staff, and community health promoters. Together, we offer comprehensive and culturally appropriate healthcare services.

During each mission, we diagnose and treat conditions such as hernias, gallbladder issues, masses, hysterectomies, prolapses, fibroids, ovarian cysts, burns, syndactyly, polydactyly, microtia, short frenulum, cleft lip and palate, among others. We identify between 150 and 200 patients who need surgery in specialties such as general surgery, gynecological surgery, plastic surgery, orthopedics, and urology. These patients will receive medical care during our surgical missions.

The success of our programs is due to the work of our health promoters, who establish strategic partnerships with local governments and community leaders to effectively reach the most needed areas. A significant part of this success lies in the effort to build trust in the communities we serve. The health promoters achieve this because they come from the same communities and speak the local language.
